The GHRI Journal of Global Health publishes peer-reviewed work that advances access to health care. The journal exists for a simple reason: good research should reach the practitioners, communities, and students who can act on it — not sit behind a paywall.
The journal welcomes work in community health, telemedicine and digital health, public-health practice, and health education. It also carries a dedicated Student Research section for mentored high-school and undergraduate research, held to the same review standard as every other article in the journal.
Every article is published open access: free to read, for everyone, everywhere. Articles that pass peer review receive a permanent page in the journal and a citable reference in the journal's volume, issue, and article-number format.
Angel Ndubisi is the founder of GHRI and a Master of Public Health (MPH) candidate at Yale University.
Her formation in medicine and research also includes the Summer Science Program (SSP), the Stanford Anesthesia Summer Institute (SASI), and a Stanford cardiothoracic summer internship.
These are the kinds of selective programs GHRIF is modeled on — teaching first, then mentored work — so students can test a future in medicine on real ground.
The founding board is being appointed ahead of Volume 1.
